Dallas, TX

Texas Library Association meets in Dallas. Our chapter will help sponsor a booth to promote Texas’ SCBWI authors. Several of our Brazos Valley authors will be signing books at the conference as well.

FALL CONFERENCE: "Connections & Craft: Writing for Children and Young Adults," A&M United Methodist Church, College Station. Editor Joy Neaves, agent Emily Van Beek and author Cynthia Leitich Smith comprise our faculty for this day-long event. Published BV-SCBWI authors will also conduct a hands-on Writers' Workshop. Brazos Valley SCBWI provides what large conferences cannot: a chance to meet renowned authors, editors, and agents in a supportive and educational environment. Come join us! Schmoozes are informal monthly gatherings, with open discussion on a given topic, led by a facilitator. Critique rules are: 5 pages, double-spaced, 5-6 copies, any genre.
